To the less informed commuter, Hyundai may have an image of low key sedans and SUV’s that can be fairly reliable for your metropolitan commute through traffic. That said, their revamp of the Elantra N in the past few years have put them on the map for not-so-subtle sedans. Coming in to 2025, the Elantra N was outfitted with a 276-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four, with a 19-inch wheel design, a new front and rear bumper cover and headlamps and taillights that helped differentiate it from years past. This week however, Hyundai released a new spec of the Hyundai Elantra N, known as the TCR edition, that throws subtlety out the window.

This new 2025 special edition of the Hyundai N model features various performance enhancements that lend itself to a raceway shredding machine. These enhancements include a Carbon Swan Neck Spoiler, which is adjustable to optimize downforce for your setting. The TCR also will feature unique 19-inch N TCR forged wheels and performance four-piston brakes as standard but will maintain the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine from the 2024 Elantra N.

As mentioned, the new N TCR will also feature a litany of cosmetic changes to differentiate it from your typical Elantra. Specifically, its use of badges, blue highlights on the inside, and the inclusion of a race-inspired Alcantara steering wheel with a Performance Blue top marker (a personal favorite edition of mine).

All told, these additions to the Elantra N will not come for free. The current model is listed at $35,100 and is not coming down soon. This special edition package is set to launch in South Korea before the end of the year, with the TCR being launched to global markets in 2025.
